Remote Call and Delete. Users can add CNC Operator instructions by editing and adding"
Comments to the INSTRUCTIONS.CNC file on there PC, and then save this file to the MxDS2.
The comments will then be displayed at the end of the MxSD@ directory when READ into the CNC.
It's a great way to distribute Instructions or Information to the CNC operators.

the remote file request funtions of DNC software packages that support remote
control. Several older controls do not have CRT displays and/or can not create
programs formatted for remote request operation (unable to use brackets or other
comment characters, for example).

There are a number of advantages of WireFree DNC installations over traditional hardwired Ethernet networks.
Wireless can reduce cabling costs. This is especially relevant in hard-to-cable or hazardous areas.
On a practical level, going wireless means there are no concerns about contact with machinery or equipment from cables.
No special conduits or armor required. While maintaining the security of the network, Wireless DNC provides and ideal solution for difficult installations. The movement of cranes or Fork Lift Trucks around the shop floor are not a concern.
Use Wireless DNC for hard to reach locations A Wireless Device Server (WDS) does the same as a Device Server but has an integrated
wireless interface instead of the standard hard wired connection. This means that serial data
can be sent across a Wireless LAN network, providing a cable-free solution that wasn't previously possible.

There's more! With wireless it is possible to route data by Internet Protocol, providing real time reporting on productivity,
machine functions and order progress directly to a PC or handheld device. Now you can monitor OEE on the shop floor
wherever you go.
Wireless "Hub" can be powered by the 24VDC from the machine (great for Fanucs that have 24VDC in their serial cable);
Can be mounted outside the control, or inside - inside is great because it is protected and the antennae can be routed higher - also the serial port for the machine is not disabled (unlike most other systems);

NET DNC SOFTWARE

On the harsh factory floor, NetDNC is designed for reliable shop floor
communications with "high availability" and "high data integrity". As
multi-tasking serial DNC software, NetDNC works in all Windows software
from 95 to XP and enables a serial star topology on the factory floor.
NetDNC can also be used with our Mx1100 and Mx1050 Ethernet to Serial
units for virtual connectivity at each machine. With each machine tool
getting its own serial port, NetDNC can simultaneously enable part program
upload or downloads from any number of machine tools. Since NetDNC acts
like a file server, CNC operators can use the Remote Call File feature to
ask for their needed file from a distance. Operators can also save their
NC files automatically (just punch at any time), reset the port at a
distance (simply punch out "RESET") or even get a remote directory (punch
out "DIR" and get the list sent back as a file). For example, to "call" or get a file named O1234 from the network, one would punch a file at the CNC that looks like this: % O5000 (CALL FILE) (SEND-1234) M30 % |

Yasnac Mx 3 Memory Upgrade

The Yasnac MX-3 CNC has two distinct memory boards. All system data
including Tool Offsets and Parameters are stored in the MM20 memory
board. Part-Program data is stored in the MM21-0X memory board. The
MM21 board is plugged into the controls Masterboard JANCD-MB20E at
the position labeled CND. It is the third board to the left of the Power
Supply module. The available Yasnac original memory boards are as follows:

The Memex Mx2000 Hand-held Terminal gives machine tool controls that
lack punching capabilities, the ability to use the remote file request
functions of DNC software packages (like Memex's Multi-DNC) that support
remote file calling. Many older controls do not have CRT displays or
cannot create programs formatted for remote request operation (e.g. unable
to use brackets or other comment characters) The Mx2000 Handheld Terminal enables the operator to communicate with the DNC software, requesting part programs, etc. right from his CNC. An automatic switch, or "Port Combiner", enables the host DNC computer to communicate with both the CNC and the Mx2000 via a single serial port. The operator simply uses the Mx2000 to "Call" a needed file, and then loads his control normally (serial or via Mx1100 BTR).
